May and June, September and October are the most popular times to visit when temperatures are more pleasant at between 25C and 30C. In all months of the year the waters are warm enough to swim in and you can enjoy the many soft sand or pebble beaches lapped by sparkling, turquoise ocean.

Nearby is the ruins of the castle at Pyrgos which Aphrodite also visited.
