To begin, remove all knobs and trim from your piece of furniture. If your furniture has been painted in the past, you should want to give it a proper sanding with a rougher piece of sand paper to get the older paint off. Next, look for knots in the wood and apply the solution on. This will prevent the knots from popping out in the future. I must make a point here, it should be important to use a proper paint respirator or paint mask to help prevent health problems. Once you have finished, go over the whole thing again with a fine piece of sand paper to help even things out. If the wood is not smooth before you paint, if won’t be smooth after either.
